Areena Riverside Resort is situated on the banks of the Kwelera tidal river, a mere 5km from the mouth of the river. You will find a lovely beach at the mouth, Yellow Sands beach, a popular and well known surf spot, easily accessible by canoe from our family resort. There is nothing quite like the view going down river on a relaxing paddle. A refundable R50 cash deposit per paddle is required.

Definitely enjoyed the river canoeing. I will do it again. It's calming and it plays a huge role in our self - care and mental health.
